Ndaba Ndlovu, the Managing Director was born in Lupane, a small town between
Victoria Falls and Bulawayo. Ndaba completed high school in Plumtree Boys High
School where he returned to Bulawayo for an apprenticeship.
In the meantime his family moved to a small town called Hwange just outside Zimbabwe's
largest National Park also named 'Hwange'. The town of Hwange is located
100km before Victoria Falls. He came to see his family here and thought it
would be nice to visit the Victoria Falls as a tourist. Upon arrival he met
some of his old school mates that were working on the Zambezi as rafting
guides. This gave him the opportunity to go on the river and since then he
has never gone back to his old trade. He started working on the river at the
end of 1992. He guided with other adventure companies.
In 1995 he met a New Zealander in his raft who had come to Africa to set up Outward Bound South
Africa. Having liked the way Ndaba worked he offered him a job. Without
hesitation Ndaba took the job and went to South Africa to train up to become
an Outward Bound Instructor. His main strength was water based activities.
Whilst there Ndaba had a lot of time to think about what he really wanted to
do. He returned to his old job on the Zambezi for three months, ventured into sales
where he would earn his living selling adventure products to tourists.
This is probably where his real future began. It wasn't long in that year that he
was promoted to the
regions Sales & Marketing Manager.
He continued to work with United Touring
Group until end of 1997. He joined an international multi-day rafting
company to set up the one day operation. In the year of 1998 he continued to
raft and manage Adrift. During this year his relationship with Rita who is
also a Director of the company became very serious. They got married in 1999
and Julian their son was born. After having been away to Switzerland, he
returned to set up Touch Adventure. Since then Touch Adventure is one of
the top adventure companies running white water rafting trips and cultural
activities. The company continues to offer these activities at an incredibly
high standard, proven by the number of tourists that have actually experienced Touch
Adventure products.

Touch Adventure Nature Guide, Rita Griffin was born on a farm in the green hills of Somerset,
southwest England. With growing up in country surroundings, her passion for animals and
nature grew. During her early teens Rita's family moved to Switzerland. There Rita was
obliged to learn the German language and complete her education and science studies. Soon
after Rita was drawn away from the snowy mountains to the hot plains and vast wildernesses
of Africa. Arriving in Zimbabwe in the early 80's, Rita started working in a research
department at the University of Zimbabwe in the capital - Harare. On following her real
interests, Rita would spend every moment she could get away from the city to the Zimbabwean
National Parks and wilderness areas - observing and marveling at this spectacle of true
nature.
Other nature areas invited Rita to further explorations and after extensive traveling all over the globe - in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Central America and naturally Africa ("from tip to toe"), Rita engaged herself in a demanding career in a research laboratory. Yet after a few years, Rita decided to return to Southern Africa - to another densely populated area, but this time it was not inhabited by people, but sustained large animal concentrations...
Botswana 1995, Rita obtained a "Professional Guides License" and started working for a renown safari company based in Maun, Botswana. The company offered high standard overland camping safaris to tailor-made game lodge safaris for the wildlife enthusiasts. Rita - fluent in German - specialized in guiding safaris for the German-speaking market. Her friendly and outgoing nature and her expertise on wildlife offered every safari guest a rewarding and unique experience. Her love and unconditioned passion of the Wild could touch even the wary client, enabling them to acquire affection and admiration for all wild beasts and birds.
